RENEWING YOUR MIND.

Saturday was an inspiring moment in my life, it was the day I realized and was truly convinced that after all the challenges that seem insurmountable, there’s definitely a well lit light after our dark tunnel in Nigeria. It was d day I met the American born-Nigerian radio presenter, Dan Foster at the launching of his website/social network site somewhere in ikoyi. He confirmed my faith and the faith of few others that Nigeria can work so if we are ready to make the necessary sacrifice… Renewal of our minds.
It is a long walk, no doubt; it reminds me of Dr Nelson Mandela, in his acclaimed autobiography, “Long Walk To Freedom”. Mandela was able to tune his mind into a state of alertness throughout his 27 years of incarceration. He was a able to achieve this monumental feat by studying and exercising while in prison and this helped shape his mental stability during his presidential days.

The mind is the single most powerful part of human existence; it is the only imperishable element in our world. No matter how grand human achievement is, it has to be conceived first and no matter how bad we fare it also comes from the mind.
The mind has the power to dwell on great things and also has d power to do the opposite, so we need to protect and nurture our minds to trail a positive and developmental path.

When we put the Nigerian situation in context; our failure has a nation has been faulted on so many factors but I’m saying emphatically that the major cause of our problem is from the mind and therein lies our solution.
The moment we start feeding our minds on the intangibles or the moment we start to appreciate the power in us then we can appreciate the power in others. Therefore, we can have utmost respect for human lives… to be continued.
