It is a landmark achievement in the motion picture industry and it’s a step further in the fight against piracy… It is the advent of IMAX 3D.

It is a mind blowing experience in virtual reality and for cinema addicts; it is a world within a world.

With IMAX 3D you can be part of the movie, with the aid of a special goggle you can find yourself within the magical walls of movie, It’s worth exploring… an experience to live for. Unfortunately, only few cinemas are equipped with the technology to screen an IMAX film. In 2008 when batman (Dark Night) was released, UK has only one IMAX screen. Another challenge with the IMAX technology is that it will take some time for people to get used to wearing goggle in a cinema and it might take a while to be able to produce the goggle on a large scale.

On the other hand its advantages are worth exploring especially in the area of piracy. This innovation will step down piracy to a minimal since 90% of pirated films originated from the cinemas. Presently, cinema operators had to provide special glasses that have night vision capability for their workers to spot pirates and stop them from recording an ongoing film which creates an unnecessary distraction in the cinema hall. Fortunately, with IMAX 3D all cinema-pirated films will be blurred and remain unprofitable for pirates. 

We sincerely hope this technology will be adopted around the world sooner than later.
